Since its inception in 1992, originally known as International Child Care Trust Kenya (ICTK) founded by David Lamont, CRK has evolved significantly. In 2004, the organization was renamed Njia Panda Ya Tumaini (NPYT), and later in 2011, it adopted its current name, Child Rescue Kenya.
